New Year, New ideals
Wow, I cannot believe it is already 2007!! The time has flown by, and *gasp* I am a grown-up. And to think, the earth didn't cave in during my admission of sort. The only scary thing on my agenda at the moment is how to figure out my income taxes, alone, for the first time ever. Yeah...that sucks, the earth very well might cave in.
The holidays were amazing! I had a lot of fun with my mom and family in Oil city. Flying to PA for the first time by myself was awesome too, I like feeling cool and flying places. I got a lot of cool things this year, but I more enjoyed spending the time with my Mom, and with Catti when she eventually made it down to PA.
We went to my cousins engagement party on the 28th. It is amazing to be with people who accept us as a real couple and are happy for us. As well as welcoming Catti to the family. The State College Kerlin's rock.
New Years was exceptional! We went into Boston and saw Ice Sculptures and Fireworks!!!!!! It was amazing. I loved being there and doing something not involving a television. It was a lot of fun. Catti and I had an amazing night, and she even proposed to me at midnight right along the Harbor! Getting home on the T was a riot though.
I am back home in Bangor and off to work. I oddly very much missed work. I get bored not doing anything while on Vacation.
All I have to do is sign my check and send it off to Nationals and I will soon be a Lifetime member of Tau Beta Sigma, an ambition of mine. Serving my Sorority has long been very important to me. Although, I miss the hands on effect that I have become accustom to in my years at Bloomsburg. I talked to my grandlittle last night and she made my day. I have been questioning my sending in the check (even though its something I want very very much) and she was like "out of everyone you deserve it! You are a natural born sister"
I only wish that I could have had more of the opportunities here at Maine that I had in Bloomsburg. I joined to find a family, and had been influential in gaining many new members seeking the same ideals as myself and the same family. It is funny though, I just wish I had more of the opportunities here to show my new sisters here the commitment and experience that I have.
I spent today being a complete dork and watching Nancy Pelosi be elected and sworn in as the first woman Speaker of the House. Wow, history in front of my eyes. I am really a complete dork.
although, I am quite happy that Catti appreciates my dorkiness and let me keep CSPAN on for a good 3 hours.teehee.
Off to work I go.
